Tariq Sattar

Tariq Sattar has resided in Edmond, Oklahoma, for more than 18 years. After experiencing life in New York, California, the United Kingdom, and the Middle East, Tariq decided to make Oklahoma his permanent home in 2005.

Dedicated to advancing civic engagement within the Oklahoma Muslim community, Tariq has held the prominent role of Chairman of the Board at CAIR Oklahoma and has also contributed as a member of the Oklahoma Governor’s Council for Workforce and Economic Development.

Tariq holds both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in civil engineering from the Cooper Union School of Engineering in New York. He also earned a master’s degree in business administration and PhD in management from New York University. With over 22 years of experience in consulting, advisory work, and restructuring, Tariq has provided guidance to businesses across a wide range of industries in 26 different countries.

As a founding member of the Pakistan Association of Oklahoma, Tariq is unwavering in his commitment to fostering inclusivity for the entire Pakistani community in Oklahoma City and across the state.

Tariq and Ayesha Sattar take immense pride in their roles as parents to two daughters and a son. During his leisure time, Tariq cherishes moments spent with his family, indulges in his passion for travel, relishes BBQ gatherings, enjoys the occasional cigar, and embarks on thrilling hunting expeditions both in the United States and Africa.
